Anti-Rape Task Force Volunteer - ARTF (SBI)
The Anti-Rape Task Force is every UB student's personal team of bodyguards. Members drive vans and operate escort stations on a mission to stave off and prevent violent altercations. They're your friends at UGL (the Undergraduate Library) who sit like bored ducks in the corridors hoping and praying that you will ask them to accompany you to your car. Use them-keep them busy. Just like every other part of SBI, their purpose is to serve you. Call 829-2584 for information.

Saturday of Service:
Saturday of Service is a monthly service project available for all students. Each month students get together on a Saturday and volunteer in the Buffalo community. Projects are planned through the CSLCE. Students can sign up for each Saturday of Service starting the week before the event. Transportation is provided. To sign up for a Saturday of Service, click here.

Social Issues Training & Education (SITE) Workshops:
SITE Workshops are hour-long workshops that are designed to increase student awareness of specific social justice issues and how they pertain to the Buffalo and WNY community. One Tuesday a month, students can attend a SITE workshop to expand their knowledge and understanding of the social issue of that month’s focus. Students are highly encouraged to participate with the planned Saturday of Service of that month, which links the SITE workshop social issue and volunteerism. Students do not need to have prior knowledge of the topic to attend a workshop.

Team UB
Team UB is a new way for a large group of students to be a part of Student Affairs' events. These events include Parent's Weekend, the Haunted Union, and many other events such as Multicultural Affairs and Leadership Development programs, Community Service, and many other fun activities. Students can get involved either through helping out with the marketing of the events, volunteering at the events, or through assessment programs after the events.

We will also have meetings once a month (date, time, and place to be determined) that will include information about events as well as free food and teambuilding activities. You can attend any/all of the meetings and events that fit into your schedule. There are no mandatory meetings or events.

Team UB is a way to meet a large group of students while gaining resume experiences in marketing, programming, and assessment. I hope you will get involved in Team UB and bring your friends too!

If you are interested and want more information about Team UB contact us via email.
